The Raving Poets in Today's Journal
If you're a Raving Poet (or hell, if you're just interested), be sure to pick up a copy of today's Edmonton Journal. Elise Stolte from the Journal dropped by the Raving Poets Experience last week. She spent a few hours hanging out and soaking up the vibe. Her story on the Raving Poets is on page B1 (Culture) of today's paper. You'll see a super cool photo of me reading Patrick Lane, along with my esteemed colleagues Thomas Trofimuk and Randy Edwards. Sadly, our incandescent percussionist, Gordon McRae, wasn't able to make the evening. He's still stuck in an Australian gulag. Also on the Edmonton Journal's website, you can catch a video of Raving regular Nicole Pakan reading her poem, Icarus. It's a great piece and a great read from Nicole. I'd link to it directly, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
It's always nice to get a bit of press like this. A small story, to be sure, but it's nice to get recognized for doing what we do. Thanks, Elsie, for a great little story.

Nicely done! A fine photo, sir. You’re much uglier than I imagined…

A small story, yes, but it was on the front page of the section.
